Words cannot fully capture the power of my immersive experience in the Amazon Rainforest — a sacred journey that reminded me of who I am, what it means to love, and how deeply the forest mirrors our own souls.
💌 Introductory Note from Maira
This is a love letter — to the forest, to the women who gathered in circle, and to the parts of myself that I met again beneath the Samaúma tree in the Amazon. Every journey I guide is born from this sacred remembering: that healing happens when we return to the heart of what is true, to love, to presence, to each other.
The Remembering...
To say it was life-changing feels too small — it was more like life-remembering.
Amidst the vibrant greens, the rhythmic pulse of the jungle, and the endless song of life all around me, I remembered who I truly am.
I remembered that I am love.
That our inner child is always right — love requires no filter. That feeling deeply is not a flaw to be fixed, but a sacred gift to be embraced.
The Rainforest has a way of reflecting back the truth of who you are. It strips away pretense and protection, leaving only what’s real.In its embrace, I could no longer hide behind stories or distractions — I had to meet myself fully.
A Return to Wholeness
Every sound in the forest felt like an invitation to presence — the buzz of insects, the hum of rain, the laughter of women gathered in circle.
Time dissolved. The forest became a mirror, reflecting the parts of me I had long forgotten.
There, surrounded by powerful, heart-centered women, I realized something essential: I love being around women.
I need community, connection, and shared creation. The forest whispered this truth over and over — you are not meant to walk alone.
Sharing is everything. Healing is communal. And women, when they come together in presence and love, are unimaginably powerful.
The Power of the Circle
During our time together, we gathered in circle — to sing, to share, to cry, to listen.
There’s something ancient that awakens when women gather like this. It’s as if the Earth herself exhales, saying, “Finally, you remember.”
In that circle, I felt what ceremony truly means: A moment of return. A breath of unity. A living prayer for our planet and all beings.
We were guided by the land and by its wisdom keepers — including Indigenous healers whose presence brought reverence and grounding to everything we experienced.
Their teachings reminded us that healing is not something we do alone. It’s something we become together.
Becoming Who I’ve Always Been
As I left the Rainforest, I knew I wasn’t returning home as the same person who arrived. And yet, paradoxically, I was returning as someone I’ve known all along.
The forest didn’t change me — it reminded me.It mirrored back my essence. It helped me see that everything I’ve been searching for has always been within me.
This journey helped me reconnect to the part of myself that believes in magic, that loves without holding back, and that trusts deeply in the mystery of life.
An Invitation
If you feel called — if something in your heart stirs as you read this — maybe the forest is calling you, too.
There’s a circle forming again. A space in the Amazon where women will come together to remember who they are, to heal through presence, and to walk gently on this sacred Earth.
As I often say: “When love meets reciprocity, something ancient awakens.”
Final Reflections
This journey taught me that the Rainforest doesn’t just support life — it mirrors it.
It shows us that growth and stillness, death and renewal, are all parts of the same dance. It teaches us that healing is remembering, that community is medicine, and that love — deep, embodied love — is our truest nature.
I went to the Rainforest seeking transformation. I came back remembering I was already whole.

🌿 Author’s Closing Note
With each retreat, I witness the forest teaching us — through her rhythm, her silence, and her wild embrace — that we are never separate from her wisdom.
To walk in reciprocity with the Amazon is to remember that healing isn’t a destination; it’s a relationship. It’s the dance between our inner and outer worlds, between remembering and becoming.
If your heart is calling, trust it. The forest always calls us home.
With love and in reverence,
Maira 🤍
