With a Doctorate in Geography and over 20 years of Indigenous rights advocacy, Maíra was initiated in the forest at the age of seven. Having supported over 1,000 ceremonies, she provides the intellectual and ethical framework that ensures your journey is rooted in extreme responsibility. She translates not just words, but worldviews—protecting the integrity of the lineage while ensuring your safety.
Gustavo Mendes | The Ground:
A biologist and environmental educator who has walked with Ayahuasca for 23 years. Gustavo is one of the few who has earned the profound trust of the Arara leadership through decades of shared responsibility and coexistence. He provides a grounded, protective masculine presence, ensuring the physical and spiritual containment of the group.
Our Protocol: We do not operate as "tour guides." We act as stewards. Every participant undergoes a rigorous clinical and spiritual screening process. We prioritize emotional stability and physical safety above all else, ensuring that the field remains protected for everyone involved.

Traditional Medicine and Healing:
A Seven-Day Immersion in the Village of Arara Encantada
Over seven days, you will be guided through a deep, protected, and rigorous spiritual process, rooted in the Arara tradition. This is not a demonstration; it is a true initiation. Your investment ensures a space of safety and ancestral integrity, covering all aspects of the immersion:
Immersion in traditional ways of living: Full immersion within a remote village, living in alignment with the rhythm of the forest. Located in the deep Acrean Amazon, the Aldeia Arara Encantada is accessible only by small aircraft and traditional boat. This is one of the few places remaining on Earth untouched by the noise of modern infrastructure—a territory where the exclusivity is defined by its pristine isolation and the ancient, unbroken lineage of the Shawãdawa people.
Traditional Ceremonies: Three Ayahuasca ceremonies led by Arara spiritual leadership. These are conducted with the songs, rituals and specific discipline of their lineage, and held by Maíra and Gustavo.
Healing Rituals (only if you feel called): rituals including Kambô (physical and energetic cleansing), Sananga (clarity of vision), and Rapé (grounding and alignment).
The Making of the Medicine: You will observe and participate in the traditional preparation of the medicine—the physical and spiritual labor that precedes the ceremony.
Direct Community Relationship: Direct relationship with the Arara community—women, men, elders, and children who receive you with respect and reciprocity. You will be received as a guest, not as a tourist. This is a relationship of mutual respect and reciprocity.
Deep Integration: Daily sessions with Maíra and Gustavo to translate the experiences of the forest into the language and reality of your life.
Neurological Reset: Seven days removed from digital noise, allowing your nervous system to recalibrate to the frequency of the forest. Silence, rest, and regeneration.
